Bravo to Samsung!

Control of the mouse pointer and basic commands using the eyes, is a scientific and technological achievement. Has been for some time but Samsung with its project eyeCan went one step forward. Announced that the technology will make it accessible to everyone and that by publishing the source code and what is even better - publishing of manuals and kits such as "do it yourself."
For many of us who are lucky healthy life if it seems impossible for any injury or degenerative disease man remains motionless from the neck down. It is really unthinkable and to survive in that situation, you really need a very strong spirit and character, comprehensive support and love and of course friends. But today people have nogu time viewing and socializing, and often use computers and social networks about it. It is in this part of Samsung made a great move in terms of ease (a little) of life found in these awful positions and situations.

Their scholars resolved, until recently expensive and unavailable to many technology, to process and to donate at all. Their project is called eyeCan, and besides software, main ingredients sensor in the form of a camera and sunglasses that are mounted on the camera. Then it connects via computer and using special software to control informants mouse and basic commands that can be set with this device. For example, you can scroll left, right, up and down, then with the blink of an eye to making left or right-click (single and double), and can be skroluva, just by moving the eye. The presentations are clearly seen as completely immobile people play games and use social networks, something that until recently could not even imagine. In future planned integration with virtual keyboard on screen that will allow writing and will raise the quality level of communication with these people around.

As we said it would be free, the technology will be available to all interested contractors who want to translate into concrete products, and for those poveshtite will have sets like "do it yourself."

  • Finally, the title again, bravo for Samsung.
