Google Antivirus?

From Google's offices recently issued a statement that their property into the famous free online antivirus scanner VirusTotal, but not shared anything about the terms of the contract, especially not about how much money aside for the purchase, or for the purchase of the company that produces and whose is based in Malaga, Spain.

Most experts believe that this scanner will improve Google search, that will bring an extra dose of confidence, but it is expected that his work will affect the search results, and links to "secure" web sites more than certain that will occur at much higher positions.
Otherwise VirusTotal work job since 2007 and uses 40 different antivirus scanners to check the files and URLs and is also available as a separate application for browsers Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer.


"Safety is very important to our customers, and we invest millions of dollars on it to make sure", according to Google, but not want to say how many millions went to Malaga.

Buying VirusTotal is not the first investment that relates to improved reliability. Five years ago, Google bought the company GreenBorder which specializes in sandbox technology company Postini which deals with the protection of e-mail and last year bought the company Zynamics, which deals with research on vulnerability.
